| The 50th Reunion Committee Meeting was held on Thursday, March 21,2002 at Rod's Restaurant in Sea Girt. The meeting started at 12:00 Noon and was chaired by Bob Maliff. Eighteen classmates attending were given name tags with their pictures. Attending were: Joan Borchers Mooney, Irene Burns, Tom Cahill, George Fencik, Betty Kenny Murray, John Lancia, Eileen Lyman O'Mara, Jewell McMillan Dreisbach, Buddy Noone, Lucille Curran Noone, Bob Maliff, Tom McQuade, Bob O'Callahan, Barbara Rea, Charlie Reilly, Pat Regan Reilly, Betty Sr. Ann Texido, Tom Verrastro Bob opened the meeting by asking Barbara to explain and discuss a classmate questionnaire. The members were asked for suggestions or changes before sending it out to the rest of the classmates. The committee was asked to complete the questionnaire and return it to Jewell McMillan for collation. The first item on the agenda was deciding the place and date for the reunion. Eight places were researched, reported, and suggested by Site Committee members. The sites varied in price, services, dates, and location. After much discussion the group voted and choose Crystal Point Yacht Club in Pt. Pleasant. The reunion will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2002 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The tentative cost of $75 per person, will include a sit down dinner, hors d'oeuvres, cash bar, five hour use of the facility. There is a hotel attached. The hotel does not reserve blocks of rooms for groups, therefore, classmates who wish to reserve rooms must make their own arrangements and reservations. Rooms are $59.00 a night. Next on the agenda, Bob asked for volunteers for Reunion Sub-Committees; Awards Committee-Pat Murphy Decorations-Tom Verrastro Music 50's-Tom Cahill Questionnaire-Jewell McMillan Remembrance Book Recent Classmate Photo-Betty Texido -Sr. Ann Old School/Class Photos-Betty Kenny Murray Phone Committee-Eileen Lyman, Joan Borchers, Betty Kenny Murray Bob O'Callahan, Tom McQuade, Publicity -Bob Maliff , Barbara Rea Treasurer-George Fencik, Joan Butler Registration/Greeting-John Lancia Bob thanked the Site Committee for their work, the new volunteers for volunteering and the people who came to the meeting for attending.
